What is the loop

Siargao beyond
the tourist trail

Most people come to Siargao and never leave Cloud 9. The Siargao Loop takes you somewhere different — the wild, untouched north of the island that locals know and visitors never find.

You ride with us through jungle roads and coastal cliffs, surf where the locals go, crawl through a hidden cave, watch the sun drop into the Pacific, and sleep under more stars than you've ever seen, bonfire burning beside you.

The route

Six spots.
One island.

Two days riding the north. Here's every stop, in order.

The group at the old lighthouse ruin, Juan & Lonely
01 / 06

Abandoned 19th Century Structure

We begin at the northern tip of the island. The road narrows, the palms close in, and then the coastline opens up. The whole Pacific in front of you, nothing between you and the horizon. This is the part of Siargao that doesn't make it onto maps.

Day 1 · Morning
Inside the cave, headlamps lit, Juan & Lonely
02 / 06

The Cave

You won't just look at this cave. You'll go through it. Headlamps on, wade through the dark, emerge dripping on the other side. Sit in pitch darkness and complete silence. No instructions. Just you and the void. It's the kind of thing you'll be telling people about for years.

Day 1 · Midday
The coast road overlooking the break, Juan & Lonely
03 / 06

Surfing

We surf where the locals go. The kind of break that doesn't make it onto the usual itineraries. Whether you've never stood on a board or grew up in the water, this one's for you.

Day 1 · Afternoon · photo pending — swap in a real surf shot when Jon sends one
The group in the jungle canyon pool, Juan & Lonely
04 / 06

Secret Canyon

Nobody told you about this one. You trek through jungle so thick the sun disappears, then the canyon opens up in front of you. Three obstacles stand between you and the other side: swim a narrow passage, climb a rock face, squeeze through a cave no wider than your shoulders. Indiana Jones energy. Every single time.

Day 2 · Morning
Relaxing on the river platform at the farm, Juan & Lonely
05 / 06

The Farm

Nature takes over here. A working farm on the river, far enough from everything that the rest of the island stops existing. Proper Filipino food, made from what was growing here this morning, served at your table. The silence settles. Wind moves through the leaves. When you're ready, the river is cold and clear. Get in. Let it carry you.

Day 2 · Lunch · Included
The bonfire under the stars, Juan & Lonely
06 / 06

The Bonfire

It doesn't have an official name — we just call it The Bonfire. This is where the night begins. The fire goes up on the sand. Drinks are on us. Stars overhead that you forgot existed. Fireflies moving through the dark. The kind of night where strangers become friends and nobody checks their phone.

Day 2 · Night
Before you ride

Pack light.

The tour with Jon was not just the highlight of Siargao but the highlight of my whole trip. Jon took us to some insane places that I thought only existed in the movies and photoshop. Incredible local dining spots, took care of us and had a laugh the entire time. I left this tour with some incredible memories and some new friends that would not have been possible without going on this tour.

This was probably the best excursion of my life. Jon is an incredible person; he showed us some real secret spots and became a true friend! I highly recommend this tour if you're ever in Siargao; it's well worth the price. You'll meet amazing people and create incredible memories.

Siiiiick, really nice and a lot of fun for people that want to experience more than the casual General Luna vibes. Lots of beautiful places, nice people and Jon the tour guide will turn out to be one of your best friends.

Before you book

Questions,
answered

Yes — the loop is self-drive, so you ride your own scooter in the convoy. Rentals are easy to arrange in General Luna for a few hundred pesos a day. Message Jon on WhatsApp before you book and he'll point you to a shop he trusts.

You should be comfortable riding a scooter before you join. The route includes rough and unsealed sections, and you'll be riding for two days. If you've never ridden before, take a day to practise around General Luna first — or message Jon and he'll talk it through with you honestly.

Everything except your ride. All your meals across the two days, accommodation in a local homestay, drinks at the bonfire, every entrance and site fee, and your guide for both days. The only things you pay for separately are your scooter and its fuel. Still bring some cash for anything extra — there are no ATMs on the route.

Most people do. Riders come from all over — 43 countries so far — and the group is capped at 12 so it stays a group rather than a crowd. Solo riders tend to leave with the rest of the convoy's numbers in their phone.

The loop runs in most weather — bring a poncho and a dry bag. If conditions make the route genuinely unsafe, Jon will move you to another date or refund you in full. He'll message you the day before if anything changes.

Cancel 24 or more hours before departure and you get a full refund. Cancellations inside 24 hours are non-refundable, because the homestay and site fees are already committed by then.

7:45 AM on the morning of your booked date, in General Luna. You'll get the exact meeting point by WhatsApp once your booking is confirmed. Arrive fuelled up — the convoy leaves on time.
